Graphic Design
Getting creative...
My background in Graphic Design started in 2007, with my first job as a production artist. There I learned the basics of the trade and the programs used. In 2013 I went back to school, where I learned color theory, digital layout, graphic design basics, and a few other things. I also started a new job as a Graphic Designer, where I was able to learn more about the print side of graphic design. I've toured several printing presses in the Sacramento area, and am interested in the amount of work and knowledge in that field.
I also have taken several online learning courses through Lynda.com such as Foundations of Typography, Creating Accessible PDFs, and Digital Publishing. You can view my certificates on my LinkedIn Profile.

Dabbling in the art of photography...
I received my first digital camera in 2004. It was a Canon Powershot A80, and I loved it. I used it to capture my time in Sweden, where I really fell in love with the art of photography. While in Sweden I took a couple photography classes, exploring both digital and film. While I have an appreciation for the time and work that goes into film photography, I much prefer digital.
My current equipment includes a Canon Rebel, tripod, Altura flash, remote shutter, backdrop stand, and several props for quick photo-shoots. I am slowly building up my collection, and having fun along the way.

Fine Art
Getting my hands messy...
I specialize in acrylic and mixed media paintings. I use Golden Acrylic paints for the majority of my work. Some of my work features crocheted flowers, handmade by my mother. All of my paintings are on wrapped canvases, unless otherwise stated. I also sometimes use watercolor, if the mood strikes. Those are on watercolor paper, and come protected in a sealed wrapping.
My paintings are affordable for anyone to hang in their home. You get one of a kind handmade paintings to decorate with and make your home beautiful. I welcome commissioned work!
Something new I've been getting into is digital drawing. I'm exploring programs such as Corel Painter, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
